It all started with our pastries! When we first opened in the 1980’s, people would line up for our morning buns and cinnamon rolls at our little Sunrise Café all day long. We still make all our pastries from scratch, using real eggs, butter, fruit and sugar.
Now we are using Community Grains in all of our whole wheat baked goods – oat bran muffins, chocolate chip banana bread, quiche and pie crusts, even our biscotti!
California grown and milled in authentic methods that keep the whole grain intact (not reconstituted like modern milling practices), we are one of the very first restaurants to incorporate Community Grains into our in-house baking. The results are delicious – you can taste the difference!
